Mrs Bryony McCraw
Head of School
I have worked in Education all my adult life, in both schools and the Arts. I began my teaching career in London, where I worked in Lambeth and Croydon.
Before coming to Barton Park, I worked within the senior leadership team at St Andrew’s CE Primary School in Headington, most recently in the role of Key Stage One Leader.
I believe in child-centred learning and want to create a school where solid educational foundations and creativity go hand-in-hand, enabling all children to grow in confidence and skills.
As a mother of two I know what a central role school plays in a family’s life and I hope that our school will be at the heart of our new, developing community, creating links and enriching lives.

Michelle Morgan
Teacher and Early Years Lead
I am passionate about working in education and have completed several qualifications and courses to support my understanding of how children learn best, and what adults can do to facilitate this. I enjoy putting theory into practise to meet the individual needs of all children. I have worked in several different settings with families from many different backgrounds. This has given me a great insight into working closely with families and the community in order to support children’s learning and development.

Lauren Freedman
Teacher and Key Stage 1 Lead
I love to learn and, as a result, I like to read around the latest educational research and practice. I aim to instil this love of learning and thirst for knowledge in the children I teach.
I am extremely passionate about Education and have a particular interest in reading for pleasure. In 2018, I completed my masters in Children’s Literature at the University of Cambridge. This year, I have been extremely fortunate to have been a teacher judge for the United Kingdom Literacy Association Teacher Book Awards. I can’t wait to bring all of the books I have been reading into the classroom and to enthuse the children about reading.
I am excited to collaborate with our new Barton Park family to develop a creative, child-centred approach to learning that fosters a life-long passion and interest.

Alexis Parsons
Teaching Assistant
I enjoy making learning fun through exciting activities that children love to get stuck in to. Seeing children enjoy their learning through play makes me so happy.
I love taking on new learning to better my practise. I completed my level 3 in childcare and education in July 2018 and started my foundation degree in early years this September. I am looking forward to gaining more practical experience and theoretical knowledge for me to have a better understanding of children and their learning and to positively influence it to the best of my ability.

Katie Rayner
Office Manager
A key part of the school, I am the first point of contact for all visitors, phone calls and e-mails. I hope that the School Office at Barton Park is welcoming and efficient in supporting the whole school community.
