All new schools are constructed with space for a nursery provision and generally this is run as part of the school.
Community Schools Academy Trust (CSAT) recognise that a wider ranging nursery offer with year round childcare to support working families would provide best value for the new community.
This would offer both free and fee paying places and more flexibility than a traditional school nursery model. The Trust has decided that commissioning an established and experienced daycare provider to run this provision would be the best way to ensure a high quality and accessible model from day one.
The year-round offer is particularly welcomed by the Council and allows for some funded provision for two year olds, that will also help address a current shortfall in provision in the Barton area.
The provision will run from the purpose built nursery space at Barton Park. A detailed plan of the site is available, as are visits to the site in July.
There may be an opportunity to expand onto other sites in the academy group in the future. This will be explained in more detail if you are successful in your submission.
CSAT welcomes applications from a range of potential providers, including but not limited to, charities, community interest companies, commercial providers, childminders and individual startups.
